Datnexa is delighted to welcome Alexandra Thornton as our new Human‑Centred AI, Leadership & OD Partner, bringing a powerful blend of leadership, mindset and behaviour change expertise to our growing portfolio of AI and data training programmes.
Alex joins Datnexa after a successful period as Head of Consultancy at Human Alchemy, a leadership and management consultancy recognised for its transformational development work with leaders and teams across sectors. She is known for creating “breakthrough” moments that help people shift their thinking, recognise their potential and turn insight into sustained high performance. Something that is invaluable when delivering complex and innovative AI programmes.
At Datnexa, Alexandra will lead our strategic AI leadership and organisational development offer, working closely with clients to help senior leaders, teams and frontline practitioners adopt AI in a thoughtful, human‑centred way that strengthens services and outcomes. Her appointment deepens our ability to blend technical AI expertise with sensitive organisational development, supporting organisations to steward AI‑driven change with clarity, care and long‑term impact.

A track record in leadership and transformation
Alexandra brings over 15 years of consultancy experience spanning public and private sectors, with a focus on leadership development, culture and behaviour change, and organisational performance. At Human Alchemy she led consultancy programmes that equipped leaders and managers at all levels to develop the mindset, habits and communication skills needed to create thriving, high-performing organisations.
Her approach blends coaching, high-impact communication techniques and data-driven insight to ensure that change is genuinely transformational rather than incremental. This aligns strongly with Datnexa’s philosophy: combining robust data science with practical, people-focused capability building so that AI initiatives result in measurable, real-world value.
Author, coach and thought leader
Alexandra is also the author of Intuitive Thinking: 7 Steps To Transform Your Life Forever. In the book she shares her journey from a career as an archaeological consultant into coaching and leadership, and offers a practical framework for using intuition to create a more aligned, fulfilling life and career.
Her writing and coaching both centre on helping people develop the confidence, self-awareness and mindset required to lead effectively in complex, uncertain environments. These themes are increasingly critical as organisations seek to adopt AI and advanced analytics in ways that are ethical, human, and strategically coherent.
What Alexandra will lead at Datnexa
As Strategic AI Leadership & Organisational Development Lead, Alexandra will be responsible for:
Designing Datnexa’s leadership and team development programmes around AI, data and digital transformation, grounded in the realities of public sector and mission‑driven organisations.
Equipping leaders, managers and practitioners with the mindsets, behaviours and governance needed to make informed, confident decisions about how AI and data are used in their services.
Developing high‑impact workshops, programmes and coaching offers that bridge technology, strategy and culture, so AI initiatives are introduced, adopted and sustained in a human‑centred way.
Partnering with clients to co‑create learning and change journeys that combine Datnexa’s technical expertise with Alexandra’s strengths in communication, behavioural change and performance.
Using a focus on “breakthroughs” to move individuals and teams beyond basic AI awareness into new ways of thinking, collaborating and delivering services with AI as a responsible partner.
A new chapter for Datnexa’s training offer
Alexandra’s appointment marks an exciting next step in the evolution of Datnexa’s work at the intersection of data science, AI, strategic leadership and organisational development.
With Alex on board, we will expand our portfolio of workshops, programmes and coaching designed specifically for leaders and teams who want to use AI responsibly, creatively and confidently while protecting the humans at the heart of their organisations.
Over the coming months we will share more about our refreshed leadership, training and OD offers, and how organisations can work with Alexandra and the Datnexa team to build the skills, confidence and culture needed to thrive in the age of AI.
