AI-powered social prescribing support for everybody
Help people find the right local support faster with a safe, supportive AI assistant that understands need, suggests relevant services, and helps teams spot gaps in community provision.
People often need help with wellbeing, finances, housing, and community support, but finding the right service can be confusing and time-consuming. Social prescribing teams also need ways to support early prevention, encourage self-serve for lower-need cases, and connect residents to trusted local services without adding pressure to frontline teams.
The Social Prescribing Chatbot was produced in conjunction with Peterborough City Council and will be available via the AWS Marketplace.
Our AI social prescribing assistant gives residents, carers, and professionals a simple way to describe what they need and get guided toward relevant local support.
It asks clarifying questions, responds in a supportive manner, checks suitability and eligibility, and recommends practical next steps tailored to the person’s situation.
How it works
-
People chat naturally about their needs and circumstances.
-
The assistant asks follow-up questions to understand what support may help.
-
It searches a trusted knowledge base of services, activities, and actions.
-
It checks fit and eligibility before suggesting options.
-
It summarises next steps and works with the user to refine the answer.
Safety and Guardrails
The assistant is designed with guardrails to detect language that signals risks such as self-harm or abuse and direct the person to a real human when needed. It also supports ongoing quality through performance monitoring, knowledge updates, and risk flagging, recognising that the system needs active stewardship like any new member of the team.
