This week, we were proud to welcome ITV News to Peterborough City Council's Technology Enabled Care (TEC) flat to showcase the impact of our newly launched AI ChatBot for staff - Hey Geraldine.

How "Hey Geraldine" is Changing the Game
Our AI ChatBot, affectionately named “Hey Geraldine,” was developed in collaboration with experienced social care professionals. It’s inspired by the real-world knowledge of someone who spent decades working on the front lines. With Geraldine as your digital assistant, staff can easily find the right equipment and guidance they need to help people stay safe and independent at home.
There’s no waiting around for answers—our solution provides instant, accurate responses and practical advice, anytime it’s needed. It’s about extending our collective expertise to every member of the team, around the clock.
Saving Time, Focusing on What Matters
The biggest win here is time. By handling everyday queries and guiding staff to the right resources, Hey Geraldine frees up frontline workers to spend more time doing what matters most: supporting residents with complex needs face-to-face. Less admin, more impact. And as a result, both staff and residents benefit from a more streamlined, effective service.
The ChatBot also offers step-by-step troubleshooting, “how-to” videos, and the latest on assistive tech—enabling smarter, more confident decisions from the start.
Helping People Stay Where They Belong
Our vision at Datnexa is to rethink how technology can support those delivering vital care. Hey Geraldine is already making it faster and easier for teams to match residents with the equipment that keeps them safe at home longer. This not only boosts independence and wellbeing, but also helps avoid unnecessary hospital visits.
Looking Forward
The response from ITV News and our frontline colleagues has been overwhelmingly positive. With continuous feedback, we’ll keep refining Hey Geraldine, ensuring she’s always a step ahead in supporting social care professionals.
We’re passionate about building technology that works for people—not the other way around. I’m incredibly proud of the progress so far, and excited for what’s next as we continue to innovate for the sector.
Stay tuned—we’re just getting started!
